Logic/Logical Reasoning ? What does this eactly mean?
Can Logic be taught? Or it is naturally there? Well, There are various activities to stimulate the reasoning power in children.
Logic prepares children for life. It equips them with the reasoning skills needed to navigate the tricky situations of life. And it starts right from your house. Children have an innate ability to think logically. But did you know that with a little help from you your child can practice this essential skill, which is required in everyday life and academics?
Let’s understand this today – by introducing our topic: Logical Reasoning activities for Toddlers.
What is Logic? And why is it so Important?
Logical thinking is the ability to understand and know the rules of basic logical inference in everyday activities. It involves thinking in steps and using what you know to draw conclusions. The conclusion can be drawn from logical inferences like what they see, smells, sound, basically, the environment that they’re being into.
Now, why is this so important? Children learn through observing. They form logic based on what they see around them, even if they can’t communicate properly. Hence, it is important for children to face challenges and overcome those through logical thinking. That is why abstract thinking in toddlers requires time and effort from the parents’ side as well.

What is sequencing?
Sequencing is the ability to arrange language, thoughts, information, and actions in a certain order. The ability to sequence depends heavily on the development of executive functioning skills like attention, organization, planning, and working memory. Without successful sequencing skills, it’s difficult to follow instructions, speak properly, complete multi-step tasks, and solve problems.
